WHAT IS GO!BUS?

The GO!BUS is a reservation door-to-door transportation service for ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) eligible individuals with disabilities and for senior citizens.  

WHAT IS ADA?

The American with Disabilities Act, otherwise known as the ADA requires transit agencies to offer service like that of fixed-route service for individuals whose disabilities prevent them from being able to access a fixed-route bus. 

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO RIDE?

Individuals with disabilities: Any individual with a disability whom is unable, as the result of a physical or mental impairment, including vision impairment and without the assistance of another individual (except operator of lift or another boarding assistance device) to board, ride or get out of any vehicle. 

Senior Citizens:  Persons 65 years of age or older are eligible

Personal Care Attendant:  A PCA (personal care attendant) may accompany an eligible passenger at no additional cost.

Companion: Companions may ride with passengers and the fare is the same as that for the passenger.

Service Animal:  Service animals may ride with passengers at no additional cost.

HOW DO I BECOME ELIGIBLE?

To become eligible, a disabled person must complete the Application
